EISD CTE STUDENT APPLICANTS ONLY
Primary Purpose:
Assist in the accomplishment of all jobs assigned to the CTE Program. Will not work alone and assist others as required. Assist in maintaining organization and other areas as assigned under the supervision of the program director.

Education/Certification
EISD student enrolled in the CTE Program.
Experience:
None
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- General knowledge of safe working practices and general attitudes
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)
- Ability to work with teams
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate business and personal etiquette in the workplace
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintenance and Repair
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by supervising adult.
- Responsible for timely and accurate work order documentation and submittal.
Safety
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing. Operate equipment and use tools according to established safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
- Maintain tools and equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned – in the best interest of the district- under the supervision of Program Director an supervising Career Prep Instructor.

Tools/Equipment Used: Small hand tools,measuring tools, office equipment, kitchen tools/supplies
Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching
Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (15 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, vibration
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress
