 This position is grant-funded; therefore, continuation of employment is contingent upon available grant funds.

 

 

Terms of Employment:
12 months/ 226 days per year. Salary is on the Administrative Program Pay Plan AP-4 of the EISD Compensation Plan on a term or probationary contract, as applicable. Starting annual salary is $67,127.00 - $79,914.00, with additional consideration for directly related experience.

 

Primary Purpose:

This position is an area of specialization that is responsible for the direct operations and administrative functions for the SSI Community Partnership Grant project to streamline business operations, improve efficiencies and advance the financial viability of the department. The coordinator will be analyzing system needs in regard to community and resource needs in an educational setting and to ensure coordination of the school district’s Educational Operations Department.  Assigned to work with the Executive Director of Educational Operations, Director of Student Support Services and Director of Counseling and Guidance to coordinate trainings with campuses, maintains district compliance documentation and coordinates yearly district surveys to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate Student and Community Services

  • Ability to implement policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel
  • Knowledge of community and school resource services
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

Experience:

  • Experience working with community partners
  • Experience in working with Social Worker and Counseling Services

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Prepare plans and programmatic strategies for Program Managers, SSI Community Partnership Grant in the execution of major projects and various district and community initiatives.
  2. Assists the Program Managers, SSI Community Partnership Grant in departmental financial activity, including quarterly and annual closeouts.
  3. Monitors implementation, provides programmatic adjustments, and coordinates resources to ensure successful completion of projects.
  4. Provides support and professional development for Program Mangers, SSI Community Partnership Grant projects.
  5. Oversees the collection and presentation of performance and tracking data for SSI community Partnership Grant projects.
  6. Manages the implementation of research-based strategies that support student learning.
  7. Creates reporting systems to regularly communicate progress to stakeholders and disseminate information on programs to families and community members.
  8. Collaborates with mangers in other departments and interacts with external stakeholders for program development enhancements.
  9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

 SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE 

  1. Provide for two-way communication with principals, teachers, staff, parents, and community.
  2. Develop long and short range objectives and goals for the school support operations of the school district.
  3. Deal sensitively and fairly with persons with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  4. Keep the SSI Grant Team informed on the affairs of the district.

 

SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT

  1. Provide leadership in developing district grant goals and objectives.
  2. Provide leadership in developing long-and short-range grant plans for district growth and improvement based on needs assessments.
  3. Conduct periodic evaluation of all grant programs and operations to determine improvement needed.
  4. Use a collaborative decision making process and problem-solving technique when appropriate.
  5. Participate in the district-level grant decision process to establish and review the district’s goals and objectives and major classroom school support programs of the district. 

 

ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT

  1. Accurately prepare and submit in a timely manner any and all grant reports required by the board, the Texas Education Agency, and other federal and state agencies.
  2. Develop administrative procedures and regulations for the grant management of the school/student support program and operations.
  3. Ensure that programs are cost-effective and funds are managed prudently.
  4. Compile district, campus, and program grant budgets and cost estimates based upon documented program needs.
  5. Compile, maintain, and file all grant reports, records, and other documents required.
  6. Plan and conduct grant needs assessment for growth and improvement of the assigned area of responsibility.
