Terms of Employment:
10 months/ 183 days per year. Salary is at Administrative Support Pay Grade PG3 on the EISD Compensation Plan. Entry level rate of pay is $14.18/hour with additional consideration based upon directly related experience.
Primary Purpose: Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under direct supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.
NOTE: Applicant must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by applicant.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
- Minimum of 15 completed college hours from an accredited college or university
Experience:
- Two (2) years of data entry experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy of according to established procedures.
- Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and schedule changes if applicable.
- Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
- Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
- Process and transmits requests for student information and transcripts.
- Call parents to verify student absences as needed.
- Report all attendance problems to designated administrator.
- Assist in campus office as needed.

Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system, personal computer, and typewriter
Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions. Continuous sitting. Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
