Minimum Requirements:
Assist in the efficient maintenace and supervision of the food service program under the direction and guidance of the school principal and Child Nutrition Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
(3) three years of School Food Service
Current Food Manager Certificate
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to follow TDA rules and regulations
Ability to use methods, materials, equipment and appliances used for food preparation
Preferred Reuquirements: Previous management or supervisory experience
TASN Certification preferred
Dutites and Responsibilities:
Assists with daily activities in kitchen/cafeteria and supervise assigned child nutrition personnel
Assists in ensuring production of desired quantity and quality of foods at the appointed times
Ensures standardization of recipes and consistency in preparation, portion control, and presentation of foods according to guidelines
Ensures the proper control of food inventory and evaluates raw foods received and finished product food
Ensures proper safety and sanitary standards according to Health Codes
Coaches and trains child nutrition staff in food service preparation and guidelines
Assists in maintaining logs on food service equipment and requesting appropriate preventative maintenance
Performs other duties as assigned
Mental/Physical/Environmental Factors:
Continual standing, walking, pushing, pulling
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching and climbing
Lifts and carries up to 35 pounds frequently
Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
